Chris Ramone, Production Director ~ Saturday 7pm - Midnight
Hi my name is Chris Ramone. I am the Production Director which means I make the commercials. I also go out to all of our promotions so you may have met me. I like listening to music (It can never be loud enough), sleeping, going to concerts/shows, spacing out/day dreaming, wandering around (preferably at night), staying up really really late, sniffing sharpies, hanging out in the dark, and drinking a 40 while reading the bible. E-mail me...please... i'm lonely :( chris@1013katy.com
My first job: An arcade at the mall.
My first radio job: I was a board-op for a day at KOLA 99.9
The most embarrassing thing I have done on the air: Playing The Backstreet Boys
The thing I like most about my listeners: Their phone calls
My dream job would be: God
The one job you won't ever catch me doing: Gay porn, working for or with Ryan Seacrest or Ashton Kutcher
My parents most wanted me to become: Not a screw up
But I got into radio instead because: I love music and hopefully I can change the radio industry for the better…….also because I don't want an office job, wear a uniform or a tie!
My first concert: Hmmmm….one of my firsts was The Voodoo Glow Skulls with Backside and Total Chaos opening.
But the most memorable concert I went to was: There are a few that come to mind. The first is when I saw Dee Dee Ramone play at the Shack in Anaheim. I couldn't believe that a Rock N Roll Hall Of Famer was playing 2 feet in front of me! Sadly Dee Dee died of a heroin overdose a couple weeks later :( But I will NEVER EVER forget that show.
Another show that comes to mind is when I saw Danzig a couple years back at The Wiltern LG in L.A.. This show was definitely one of the loudest shows I've ever been to. I believe Atreyu and As I Lay Dying opened. Then Danzig came on. After a bit Doyle from the Misfits came out and they played some Misfits songs. Thats about as close as you can get to the original Misfits playing thats why I will always remember it. I couldn't talk for 2 or 3 days after because I was yelling and screaming so much!
Another show is Queens of The Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal. This whole day was cool! I don't really remember too much and that's how I know it was a great time!
Also last summer I saw The Mars Volta! They are an amazing band and even more amazing live. I almost urinized my pants when John Frusciante came out and started playing with them!
My favorite musicians are: There are a million of them but heres whats on my desk right now...The Ramones, The Misfits, Nirvana, The Mars Volta, Queens of The Stone Age, John Frusciante, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Velvet Underground, Spacemen 3, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Eagles of Death Metal, Wilco, Johnny Cash, De Facto...and the list goes on and on
My favorite books are: "The Cat In The Hat" - Dr. Seuss; "Black Coffee Blues" - Henry Rollins; "It's Not Easy Being Me" - Rodney Dangerfield; and the Highlights kids magazines….GOOFUS IS COOL!
My favorite sound is: The ones that mess with my mind
My least favorite sound is: Bad Music, celebrity gossip, stupid people talking, MTV, and the phrases "Sir, you're making a scene...I'm gonna have to ask you to leave" "Chris are you ok? Your eyes are a little red" But the worst sound of all is the sound of censorship.
If I was an animal instead of human I would most likely be a: A Dragon or an evil circus monkey
The single most embarrassing moment in my life was when: Hmmm…..I urinized my pants in 4th grade.
When life hands me lemons I tend to: Get vodka and make myself a drink
If I ended up on a deserted island and I could only take 3 things with me they would be: my music, a guitar, a beautiful woman…and her twin sister (They're twins so they count as one)
My favorite saying is: Money can't buy happiness but it can buy a happy ending…
Love your country hate your government...
Think for yourself and question authority...
Turn on, tune in, drop out...
PAST

It's hard to tell but there are 2 towers of shot glasses in that pic
